Koala travels 88km on car grille
He's sure found a good place to get over his ordeal. Bindie and Bob will look after him. Damn shame their Dad's not there to help 'em, aye??
It is going to be the most beautiful day here in Noosa today. It's mid winter!! Who'd know. I went to the beach this morning and it was as perfect as it gets and on Sunday we went to one of my favourite beaches and everyone was swimming and having the best time. It's supposed to be 25C today. Crikey that's warm for winter ..... even for here!!
|Last Sunday! ... It was low tide so lots of beach to run on and I did!!|
|At the beach this morning. Mum and I walked for miles and we had the place almost to ourselves. Crikey it was pretty!!|
Wanna run .... Love, Charlie.
That IS one very LUCKY Bloke... Crikey Charley... do you suppose they will try to take him Home when he recovers? We have heard from our other Aussie Furends that Koalas have a very small territory and really should NOT leave it.ReplyDelete
You are truly having PAWfect Weather... it is COLD here today... well, Cold fur our summer... so we guess our weather is sort of MIXED UP... NO SWIMMING in OUR neck of the Woods right now... You would have goose bumps if you tried. .
We guess we were NOT thinking when we typed that... beclaws it DOES say return to the EXACT spot where it all happened...ReplyDelete
Our mom TOUCHED a ROO once... at a small zoo... It was SOOOOOO soft... She has always wondered what a Koala would feel like.
A koala is even softer than a roo Frankie and Ernie. They are VERY cuddly!!!! Not the smartest fish in the sea though. They just sit around and get high on Eucalyptus leaves all day. They only hit the ground to change trees or look for a mate and when they do they get into all sorts of trouble. Hit by cars, chased by dogs, cats, bad zombiez etc. Mum understands when I chase critters but if I ever chased and harmed a koala I think she'd kill me. Just as well I'm not out at night, aye??Delete
Don't know how our morning shows missed that story...they usually have unusual good news stuff like that! Poor fellow. Guess the wind pressure had him pressed up on the grill like that. On-coming traffic must have thought it was one of those teddies, or dolls that truckies put on their rigs.ReplyDelete
Love your beach..we'd be digging and running and rolling. It's supposed to get to 21° today....but cold again on the weekend. Enjoy that great weather.
Thanks for the story, too.
He would have looked like one of those stuffies on a truckie's rig, aye?Delete
21C good for Dubbo. Enjoy it while it's there. A trip to the river would be good. Never know what Dui will come up with there, aye? That pizza find sure looked good.
OMD, we can't even imagine! A very lucky koala indeed. Wait a minute . . . I never saw a koala before!ReplyDelete
Murphy & Stanley
They're very cute Murphy and Stanley and we love 'em a lot out here. We sure don't like to see 'em get hurt so this WAS a good luck story, aye??Delete
It's a good thing they have such a good grip. Oh Mom says the bakery is Bakers Delight http://www.bakersdelight.com.au/ it is 3561 High St, Shop 23/24 , Palms CentreReplyDelete
Coffs Harbour NSW,
Thankyou so much Mom .... we will give it a try on our way through.Delete
Cripes!!! Poor little nipper. (Well done on the linky, mum!) As for that beach... sigh... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Crikey Aunty ..... I can't believe Mum did it. Sometimes she even surprises herself. The beach is great, aye??Delete
Thanks for dropping by to say hello. We see you are Dogster refugees. We just interviewed two refugees from Catster for Mousebreath last Friday. We tried both but never could figure them out, so we stuck to blogging. Glad you like it.ReplyDelete
The poor koala. But fortunate to be getting care and to be alive.
Dogster and Catster were great but Blogville's great too. I'm so glad we gave it a try. Now we are hooked!!Delete
He sure was one VERY lucky little koala bloke, aye? He is in VERY safe hands now.
My kitty brofurs were those interviewees, BOL!Delete
We love the blogging world, too, but we sure do have lots to learn. Dogster/Catster seems to be in a state of flux right now...so we sure are happy that we discovered the world of Blogville!
Dogsterland is chasing it's own tail at the moment. I check in once a week but even that's painful!!Delete
Dat sounds like my momma's kinda winter!ReplyDelete
She would love it Whitley..... so would you but you seem to be having a pretty good time at the moment. All that pool ball AND BACON!!Delete
Sometimes wildlife just wants to go for a car ride...can you blame them?!ReplyDelete
We had a local coyote get on the commuter train and ride for a couple of stops. I say, why walk, when you can ride? Hee hee.
Glad you are enjoying the lovely weather and the beach!
Crikey Wyatt .... were there human passengers on the train too? Those coyote blokes are pretty mean aren't they?? Pretty funny though!! Did he have a ticket??Delete
The weather is being very kind to us at the moment. Sure hope it lasts!!
Enjoy the weather while you can!!ReplyDelete
Aroo to you,
Aroooooooo Sully ..... I sure am. I went to the beach this morning and I'm going again this arvo. How lucky am I, aye?????Delete
That piccie! He looks skeered! Gosh, whut a ride!ReplyDelete
Great beach yu gots there Charlie!
Crikey I don't like ridin' IN the car let alone on the grille. No wonder he looked skeered, aye?Delete
It's a pretty good beach, Zoe. I love it!!
Wow, that koala is very lucky! Glad Bindi and Bob will be looking after him. We miss their dad!ReplyDelete
We miss him too Buddy!! He was the best. Young Bob's a ringer for him though. I sure hope he grows up to be just like his Dad.Delete
Wow! So glad Mr Koala was rescued.ReplyDelete
We used to love watching that show too.
When growlmy was seven she got to cuddle a lifesized koala...but it was only a stuffie, BOL! It was real looking, though.
What an expansive beach you got there! No wonder you are so good at running, its made fur that!
Do you have koalas in zoos!! They are nice to hold but not very interesting. They just SIT!! Bit like tree ornaments, aye??Delete
Yes, in zoos, but growlmy's chance was at an auntie who had an almost real looking one.Delete
Oh yes, crikey, Charlie, that beach is pretty. (And you've got me talking the lingo, somehow it seems appropriate). We have been experiencing 25ºC temperatures in Aberdeen this week, which is almost unheard of warmth for this neck of the woods!ReplyDelete
Crikey, Bertie ... you know Aussie. I'm impressed!!Delete
Wow that was a brave Koala-dude! I'm glad it was a trip with a happy end. I like your beach, you have much more and much better sand than me on my beach. Why?ReplyDelete
Crikey Easy .... I don't know why, mate! Maybe we are just lucky. You got great stuff too though. Mum and Dad can't wait to get there to check it all out.Delete
So pleased there is a happy ending. Love your beach. Glad it is still warm enough to enjoy it. Have a wonderful Wednesday.ReplyDelete
Best wishes Molly
I love happy endings too Molly. Hope you have a great Wednesday too and Thursday and Friday and Saturday and Sunday ...............Delete
We don't have those little sweeties where we live nor do we have beaches like that. We are packing our bags for your house as we type this...knock knock.ReplyDelete
Hang on ..... I'm coming .... welcome, welcome, welcome!!!!!!!!!Delete
It's 58F here (or about 15C) right this very moment, and it's the middle of summer!!! You've got all our hot weather! haha! But that's OK. We like a cool day for a change. Plus, as we say here, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute! Have fun on the beach! Oh, we're glad the koala is OK.ReplyDelete
Crikey, the worlds turning upside down, aye??Delete
