This morning's walk!!

We were a bit late for our walk this morning so NO platypus. Mum and Dad had a sleep-in. So did I. It was a big day yesterday. Dad's a wee bit better this morning so he came along with us.
Tessie's studio - our accommodation in Bright. Tessie is a cocker spaniel. She came for a visit and ate ALL my biccies. Hope she doesn't come back in a hurry.

Well ... I was tired and it was COLD!

Not much excitement for me this morning. Saw a few of the four legged blokes I met yesterday but didn't get to play with them. Just a quick sniff and a hello. Had a run in the dog park but by myself again. Don't think they are early risers in Bright. Spotted a couple of king parrots having their brekky. Crikey they are good lookin' blokes. No wonder they are called king parrots. Not as big or noisy as the cockatoos but one of Mum's favourite parrots.
Where we saw the platypus yesterday. Think that hole maybe their home.

Pretty, aye?

More later .... just thought I'd show you these few piccies.

  1. Gorgeous birds. We occasionally get lorikeets, but nothing that spectacular. Can't believe you saw platypus in the wild. SHE's NEVER seen those. There are supposed to be some in our river, but we don't know where they are.

You look like you have a comfy bed for a cold night. Can't believe Tessa ate your food, just 'cause it's her house. UNFAIR.

    BOL!
    They are really pretty.
You have some awesome birds and critters over there, Charlie. Thanks for sharing!

Grr to Tessie...BOL! Our neighbor's pup came in our yard through the space in the closed gate, she is small enough to fit through...and decided to romp with me, but then I fooled her and went inside through my doggy doors, and she doesn't know that trick! BOL! Growlmy says she hopes she doesn't figure it out...

So she left me a p-mail and went back home the same way she came in...

Have a great day of vacationing!

    1. I ALWAYS sleep like a log Zoe. Must be the big days I have. Platypus are really interesting critters and different. It's worth googling them if you don't know anything about them. They eat insects and worms and swim to do this. I've only ever seen them in the water. Lots of people keep our parrots and budgies as pets here too. Such a shame really as they need to fly and it's pretty easy to see them in the wild. Well not budgies but all the parrots are around. Galahs and cockatoos are all over Sydney. Even that king parrot can be found in Sydney.
