Oh My ..... Mum's gone all crafty!!

Crikey!!   Wonders will never cease.  Mum's knitting!!  Who knew she could knit????  I sure didn't.  I didn't think she had any talents she was aware of.  She's knitting me a coat for winter.  How good is that??  Well .... we'll wait and see, aye??  I'm hard to fit. I've got a big, deep chest.  AND ..... I don't like acrylic.  It gets all that static electricity stuff.  Mum's using pure Aussie wool.  Crikey ...... I wonder if she'll ever finish it.  She keeps wishing I was a Chihuahua.  Hahahahahahahaha!!  ME .... a chihuahua!!!  Hahahahahahah!!   Here's what it looks like so far
Getting there! She's only dropped two stitches so far.  She found 'em though so no holes ..... YET!!
This is what it's supposed to look like when finished.  Mum's not putting the bauble things on it. Thank goodness for that, aye??
I sure hope I can parade it for you when it's finished.  IF it EVER gets finished that is!!

Wanna run ... Love, Charlie.

  2. You are going to look so spiffy I'm not sure my heart can handle it. My mum has no talents and she knows better than to try. You'll be able to run warm.

PS. Rocky Joe says to say hi. He's still kind of snarly once in awhile but not to me anymore. He sure does love dad.

  3. G'Day Charlie. CRIKEY... that is gonna look GRAND against your furs colors. We don't care fur the Baubles much either. You would look a bit like a stegosaurus. You are Lean and Lithe not big and lumbering.
OMD we can't wait to see more about how this goes.
    No Worries.

  7. Charlie, I don't think you can see colours very well, but I can assure you, the colour is very strong. Be assured, if we laugh when we see you in your coat, it is not directed at you.

  8. Our Mom wishes she could knit. She can crochet most anything but she can't seem to manage those two needles. That sweater is going to be beautiful and so warm. Lucky Charlie.

  9. Charlie, if she ever finishes it, you will be the best dressed dog in all of Oz. I have a deep chest too and mom says PetSmart needs to include size such as husky. When she buys me a shirt, she says I look like I'm wearing a size smedium. I tell her the shirt makes my muscles pop. BOL

    Aroo to you,

  10. C'mon give your mom the benefit of doubt. At least she's knitting you something (though I can't blame her for wishing you were a Chihuahua BOL)! My mom simply said she's glad we don't have winter here!!! Looking forward to your new sweater (^_^)

    IT IS R E D!!!!!!
YOUR CHEST MIGHT BE DEEP BUT IT IS MOSTLY MANLY!
My mom once tried to teacher her hands to knit..but her hands were not trainable. She can crochet though. Please post photos when your talented mom has completed your jacket

Thank you for the lovely bday wishes and compliment. I guess most of my youthful look is owed to genetics. I was born gray.

It was pretty funny that you asked what was in our water. Just this week the city started doing some type 2 month process to our water. It hasn't bothered me 'cause I have a filter fountain but it does not agree with mom. #1 is smells funny and OMCs mom has a picky sniffer. Water out of the faucet used to be yummy but not now. Mom is gonna start drinking only water out of the fridge door which is filter.
    Hugs madi your bffff

  26. Charlie that is going to be a simply splendid sweater. Gail and I are also both pure wool snobs - none of that artificial stuff for us - if it didn't come off a real sheep we're not wearing it!

  28. Smart Mum! You'd better steer clear of shearing sheds, Charlie when you're wearing your new coat...if it gets finished, that is! ;)

  29. We think that sweater will be warm and toasty not only due to being all wool...but it will be made with tons f warm love. That will warm your heart, Charlie so you will be able to run like the wind and not be an icicle.
