CRIKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!      Just as well I had Mum attached to the lead, aye??

    1. Crikey Sweet William .... I'm always here for you, mate!! I'll be saying special prayers for Lee's very quick recovery too. I'm so glad your home. It was a harmless snake, William. If any snakes can be harmless that is. These blokes just choke you to death. They're not venomous. We have heaps of the creepy crawly things in Australia and most of them are deadly.

    We don't have anything but gardener snakes on this side of Oregon. On the eastern side they have rattlesnakes.

    1. It was a diamond python. Completely harmless or so they say. I kept Mum well and truly away from it though. I wasn't taking any risks. It was very pretty!!
      We have loads of deadly snakes but no rattlers thank goodness.

  3. A few years ago my human was in Namibia and stepped over a black mamba!
    She's very brave or very stupid...

    1. CRIKEY Noodle ... Your human's been to Namibia? Mum's so impressed. She's no traveller but for some reason Namibia fascinates her.. A black mamba aye? I'm off to google that one. Mum likes snakes but only lookin' at 'em not steppin' on 'em.

    I prefer the garden snakes that we have here in my own yard...well, not now in the warmer days...

    If you enlarge the pictures and go though then really fast you can see Mr Python slither away! OMD!! BOL!

    1. If Mum posted all the photos she took it would be like a video. You can even see my swivel head when I first spotted him. A video would have been better, aye?

    1. Crikey Enid. I was ok. It was tough controlling Mum but I managed. It was a very pretty snake but not as pretty as you. I hope you never meet one up close and personal Enid. They can be scary things, aye?

    Oh a big ol' python... I have handled some of these - nothing slimy at all, just solid string of muscle and actually very dry... Not that you should go around making such close acquaintance with strangers; these ones in particular might hug you to death. Literally. Hugs (soft and safe ones) and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  18. Wow!!!! That was some snake!! We're glad you kept your distance Charlie! Miss Charlee Puppy sometimes sees snakes since she lives near the Everglades in Florida, but they're usually little ones. She hears stories about gigantic pythons and boas living in the swamp.

  22. Yikes, that's a huge snake. We, that is Mom, is frightend of snakes. Here in Denmark we only have a Common Viper. Not very dangerous for humans, but a bit more dangerous for dogs, I think.
