slimy slithery snake ~ I don't like spiders and snakes and that ain't what it takes to make me love you. Bawheheeeeeee. I have missed you Charlie. My Lee is home but has a ways to go in her recovery. Thanks for sticking by us during this timeSweet William The Scot
Crikey Sweet William .... I'm always here for you, mate!! I'll be saying special prayers for Lee's very quick recovery too. I'm so glad your home. It was a harmless snake, William. If any snakes can be harmless that is. These blokes just choke you to death. They're not venomous. We have heaps of the creepy crawly things in Australia and most of them are deadly.
That's a huge snake!! What kind was it? :D We don't have anything but gardener snakes on this side of Oregon. On the eastern side they have rattlesnakes.
It was a diamond python. Completely harmless or so they say. I kept Mum well and truly away from it though. I wasn't taking any risks. It was very pretty!!We have loads of deadly snakes but no rattlers thank goodness.
A few years ago my human was in Namibia and stepped over a black mamba! She's very brave or very stupid...Have a great day Charlie!Noodle
CRIKEY Noodle ... Your human's been to Namibia? Mum's so impressed. She's no traveller but for some reason Namibia fascinates her.. A black mamba aye? I'm off to google that one. Mum likes snakes but only lookin' at 'em not steppin' on 'em.
OMD Charlie, you were very brave to even stay that close!!Smileys!Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo

Yikes!I prefer the garden snakes that we have here in my own yard...well, not now in the warmer days...If you enlarge the pictures and go though then really fast you can see Mr Python slither away! OMD!! BOL!
If Mum posted all the photos she took it would be like a video. You can even see my swivel head when I first spotted him. A video would have been better, aye?
OMD! You sure were lucky she was on the lead. SHE's impressed that your mum was able to take photos. We would have been outta there.
Mums VERY brave around snakes. She grew up in the bush and learnt to cope from an early age.

Ya would wonder what it tastes like - ya even tried to eat da artifishul Christmas tree!
Fair dinkum Travis ... Only you would wonder about that, aye? You tried to eat the CHRISTMAS TREE. Get a grip, mate!

Hari OMOh a big ol' python... I have handled some of these - nothing slimy at all, just solid string of muscle and actually very dry... Not that you should go around making such close acquaintance with strangers; these ones in particular might hug you to death. Literally. Hugs (soft and safe ones) and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Crikey Aunty ...... you're VERY brave, aye??
Oh yikes! What kind of snake was it?Monty and Harlow
It was a diamond python and very pretty, aye??
CRIKEY Charlie.... we SHUDDER to think what would have happened to your mum had you NOT had her Safely on the Walkin String. WHEW... that is SCARY. Did she Dampen her Drawers??? Our mom would have FLOODED Hers... GOOD JOB, Charlie. No Worries buddy.
Nope Frankie and Ernie ..... no damp drawers for Mum. She just wanted to get at it. Completely brain dead my Mum ..... who knows what it would have done to her if I didn't hold her back, aye??
Eeeek. Was it a poisonous one? Toodle pip!Bertie (who faced down an adder earlier this year and is VERY proud of it).
Not poisonous Bertie. Completely harmless as long as you don't mind getting squeezed to death. Unlike our adders who are very deadly. You stood up to one of those??? No wonder you're proud. So you should be ..... that's impressive, mate!!
we would running for sure if we saw that - but you know what is funny - people always comment here about all the snakes in Australia but Mom has seen more snakes while living here in the USA than she ever saw while living back home
Crikey ..... there's heaps of snakes here. Where did your Mom live? Must have been a big city, aye??
Wow!!!! That was some snake!! We're glad you kept your distance Charlie! Miss Charlee Puppy sometimes sees snakes since she lives near the Everglades in Florida, but they're usually little ones. She hears stories about gigantic pythons and boas living in the swamp.

Yikes, that's a huge snake. We, that is Mom, is frightend of snakes. Here in Denmark we only have a Common Viper. Not very dangerous for humans, but a bit more dangerous for dogs, I think.
I think most Mum's are frightened of snakes, aye, Laika?? My Mum's used to seeing them so she doesn't worry too much.
