My stick and Wyatt!!

My mate Wyatt had a big wind storm at his place the other day. His pool landed in my front yard. He let me keep it so I gave it to Miss Poppy PooPoo Pants. Now our Miss Izzi doesn't have to share her pool with a pig. How nice of Wyatt to let us keep it, aye??  My stick blew over to Wyatt's house in the same storm. I was a meanie and told him to return it.  Crikey ...... I felt so BAD about that!!  What was I thinking??  I'm so sorry, mate ..... guess I've got a lot to learn yet in the being kind to others department. Mum says it's cause I'm young but that's no excuse really, aye??  I'll try and and do better in future. Don't worry about returning the stick Wyatt.  It's yours to keep mate. I sure hope you think of me when you're having a good old chew on it.  I did find another really good stick at the golf course the other day. Mum reckons that's the only reason I said you could keep my other stick but THAT'S NOT TRUE!!  I've really learnt a lesson here and I'm going to be much better at sharing in future. That's one of the things I love about Blogville. It teaches you how to be NICE, aye??
Keeping my eye out for a good stick.

Found one!!

This one's even better.

Crikey the sky was pretty here today. We went for a bit of a drive to one of our favourite lookouts. It's still hazy from the bush fires but the sky was magnificent. Mum found a waratah growing in the bush so we had to stop to take photos, aye??  Flowers and birds!!!!!!  OMD she's obsessed.

The Megalong valley. When we were here last it was like Ireland the grass was so green.  We NEED rain!!

Spring wild flowers.
Waratah ...... the floral emblem of NSW!!
Wanna run .... Love, Charlie.

  6. A REAL Waratah! WoW!

Well, him giving you a pool that he didn't want and wanting your stick that you STILL wanted, we can understand you. It's easy to give away stuff you don't want.

That's a bonzer stick you found, better keep it weighted down in case of another blow!

  9. that is something Mom says she misses the most - the beautiful clear blue skies - we have blue skies here too on occasions but they are never a bright and clean because there is always a pollution haze. Glad you found a new stick

    1. When Mum was in Europe she couldn't believe the haze all the time. She sure missed the sky too while she was over there. Thank goodness ours are still crystal clear and beautiful. Even Sydney!! Sometimes there's a bit of pollution haze but a big southerly buster arrives and it all goes out to sea.

My Mum has black thumbs too. That's why we do soooooo many bush walks. The natural gardens are always the best, aye?? They were planted by THE MASTER gardener, aye??

We'd be taken care of real good and we'd get lots of stories when they got back home, aye?? AND they'd get to experience something different from their norm.

  17. I will gladly share my snow...all 6-8 inches of the cold white fluff. Its blowing all around and making drifts. And causing road troubles to boot, such that a lot of schools were closed because it was dangerous to run the buses. Some areas got a lot more than we did.
    Beautiful plant! So bright!

I saw that your scar is now just a red line, so its healing so well! Soon your brindle furs will hide it.

Um...you say you want to try out snow...well, today the wind that brought the snow from over the lake was bitterly cold. No fun at all fur half naked dogs like you & I. And it freezes off your tootsies! The one good thing is that snow holds smells really well, so you can sniff who's been walking in your terriertory! Like deer and turkeys and squirrels...and other trespassing doggies. and kitties, OMD! Grrr!

    1. We've been hearing about your snow on our news.. It sure looks pretty but I guess it does make life difficult. Mum still talks about those photos you showed her of Lake Mitch Again and how beautiful they were.
The waratahs are beautiful, aye? They used to be everywhere in the bush but are a bit hard to find these days. It's always a delight for Mum when she spots one.
I've healed up pretty good but it's taking a while for the fur to grow back. I laid in the sun too much today and it got sunburnt so it's all red. Mum got angry with herself for not watching me well enough and keeping me out of the sun.
Keep those snow pics coming.. We love 'em.

I don't think it is a protea but I'm not sure. Proteas are found in South Africa I think.. Mum took some more flower pics today and one is of a protea. She will put them in a post soon.. I'm sure you could grow waratahs in Texas. I'll try and find out for you, aye. I'm pretty sure they don't grow from seed though so I don't know if we could send a plant over to you. Seeds would be easy, aye?
