Wordfull and not so Worthless Wednesday

We were the first ones at the beach this morning!! These pics are just for you Reilly and Denny's Mum!!
I made a bit of a mess of it, aye??

But a big wave came and you'd never know I'd been there!!

Crikey ..... it was going to be Wordless Wednesday. I've gotta cut back on this bloggin' thingummyjig.  I need more hours in the day and Mum just can't keep up BUT ..... Mum's all excited about some NEW (well new to her) technology she has discovered and she just has to try it out. It is now 10am on Wednesday here in Noosa. If I were you I'd STOP READING THIS NOW.  I did warn you so don't blame me if you're still reading cause this is all going to go to pot.  Mum's just experimenting. None of this will make sense so it's completely and utterly a waste of your time to keep reading. She's not going to publish this now. She's going to do it later tonight but she's going to do it NOW with the 'schedule' set date and time thingummyjig. Our Nomination for Mayorz pair, Murhy and Stanley http://murphyandstanley.blogspot.com.au/
told her how to do it and she got all excited.  Crikey ..... it doesn't take much to excite my Mum. She leads a VERY sheltered life. She also learnt how to do the linky thingummy today. That got her all excited too. Bouncing Bertie http://bouncingbertie.blogspot.com.au/   and YamAunty  http://inimaynaelcammeno.blogspot.in/2014/08/menosukhi-memories.html

helped with that small problem. Mum just wants to do that linky thing for everything now. Small things amuse small minds, aye?? Yeah well ..... she didn't get that quite right. She just tried it for Murphs and Stanley and she kinda did it but she can't get that next bit on the same line. She's going to have another go now with Bouncing Bertie.  Well she kinda did that but it wasn't easy. That link goes onto the next line and then she's gotta figure out a way to get it back again. She's off to do Aunty's now!!  Yep same problem.  She's given up. There's washing and ironing and cleaning and cookin' and stuff to do.  What's with that? What about me???  C'mon Mum .... I need to play.  Bone!!  Did I hear bone????????  Ok ... that'll do!!  Hoo Roo!!!!

Well it didn't work.  She had to do it manually. She thinks it's got something to do with the time. She set it for18.00 Pacific daylight time thinking that was 6pm. Well it might be 6pm but it sure isn't 6pm here cause this blog is still sitting right here in this blog list. She did hit the done button AND the publish button so it's not that

This doesn't make any sense does it?  Oh well ......I warned you. I told you not to keep reading. Back to the drawing board for Mum. She'll give it another try.  Might be the schedule is upover time. She's going to check the difference between pacific daylight time and our time. That might fix it, aye??
Crikey ..... WHAT A SECRETARY!!!!!  The things I have to cope with ....

Wanna run ... or chew on a bone ..... Love, Charlie!!

  1. thank you thank you - our mom is back home wandering along the beach looking at those photos. Mom grew up living on the beach - she says she has salt water in her veins and misses that more than anything. She also misses the sunset sets and the amazing blue skies....heck - she just misses home :) Well done to your Mom for getting the links working.....it is all a learning process but she is doing great :)

    1. Crikey .... I'm so glad your Mom liked the pictures and she could go for a little make believe wander whilst looking at them. I'll try and get a good sunset for her one day. Gotta go bush to get a really good one though. Blue skies are easy. We get heaps of those, aye??

  2. Lovely beach and yes it is all a learning process but the forums are good and usually you can find a youtube tutorial that tells you how. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

    1. It is a lovely beach, aye, Molly?? I think Mum's giving up on the technical stuff. She'll do what she can but will just stick to typing up my adventures. No fancy stuff for me. I'll leave that to all you other clever blokes and Sheilas.

Oh - my - wordfulness those are piccies to tug at the homesicky heart chords..... I live by the sea, but, well, sou-westers and galoshes are day-ray-grrrrrrrr.....

Now thens; your help is doing REAL well to reach out and press buttons and things. Tell her that after two years, I am STILL learning stuffs and anyways, new stuffs keep getting added all the time (that's why Blogger plays hide and seek sometimes). Now, the next upskill is to get her highlighting the text (MURPHY AND STANLEY - just furr examples) then click the link widgie and paste the URL where it asks; then always click the 'new window' and 'no follow' buttons before saving it... this might help ... and that link will show the HTML code which you can use as I just did to link a site in comments boxes - but keep her away from that till the first one is mastered! One paw at a time...

Now I am sure that THIS WAS DONE TOO, butts the thing to check is that you have the time zone you are publishing from correct; for example, my blogs are all posting from Indian Standard Time (even though I now reside in UK) - I could change that but don't wish to. I had to set the new blog to that because it was set up here and automatically set itself (yeeechh) to US Pacific Time. ( The cheek!!! What happened to Greenwich I asks?) Anyhoo, you need to DO THIS!.

Arey-vah! You better not show the help this all at once - she might have a canniption. Take her to the beach to recover again tomorrow morning...... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. Yep Aunty ....... she had one of those conniption thingummyjigs! She reckons she WILL master these two things but that's it. No more tricky stuff for her. She'll just plod along in her own way from now on in. I know you can teach an old dog new tricks but an OLD HUMAN ...... not so easy!! She thinks she's got the time thing sorted. Thanks for all your help. You're so VERY clever!!

  4. Oh you wrote a message for Reilly's and Denny's mom in the sand? That's cute! My mom is experimenting sometimes too with my blog. Butt no long... then she screams Ma-a-a-ark! (that's my dad) and if my dad gets leaky eyes for the chaos she did, she always says that "It wasn't me, wordpress made that automatically, while I had my paws off... yeah I not even was in the room as it happened" ... moms...

  6. OMP (oh my pig!) Those beach pics (and you!) are BEAUTIFUL my friend. My mom is still staring at my computer screen with a funny look on her face over them. She <3 the beach. She would live on one like a little Hermit if I let her. That's why I keep her on a short leash - snorts. XOXO - Bacon

    1. Crikey ..... your poor Mom!! Slacken that leash a bit, aye? I hate being on a leash. I'm sure your Mom does too. Have you been to the beach, Bacon? It sure is a lot of fun. We don't live on the beach but we do live VERY close by.

  10. We can tell from their comment that Reilly and Denny's Mum went WILD fur your beach pictures... and who WOULDN'T.. they are gorgeous.
We see that someone told you that you don't have to type the full ADDY into your blog... just ONE or Two Works I like to do HERE and then Highlight that word and go to LINK... then you type in the ENTIRE addy and be sure to CHECK test it to make certain that it WORKS then hit the OK theingy and THERE you GO. It DOES take a LOT of Practice... AT fURst...

    1. She did like 'em, aye, Frankie and Ernie?? It's nice to be able to make someone happy. That's one of the things I like about Blogville.
Mum's determined to master these few things but then she's leaving the technical stuff to all you smart blokes out there. We'll just do what we can when we can. Thanks so much for all the advice though. It is VERY much appreciated. Oh and Mum says to thank you for saying it takes a LOT of practise. That makes her feel she's not a complete galah. She just needs more practise, aye??

    1. Yeah .... she's gotta slow down but Dad's been away workin' so she's had lots of time lately. She won't go anywhere by herself so the only time she's left the house has been when I take her. I'm exhausted from the responsibility of it all. Crikey I sure hope her head doesn't 'spwode! That would be a mess. Not that there's much in there!!

    Ocean beaches are way better!!
I still don't know how to post a comment link, and yes the dogretary's head fur sure will spin right off...and then she won't be able to go to her work...and trying to post something ahead?? Never even knew that was possible!
