The trial run!!

Today was the trial run for Halloween night.  Crikey ..... the indignity of it all!!  I HATE, with a passion, dressing up!!  But it is for Halloween and I LOVE Halloween so I tried.  Yes 'VERY TRYING' said Mum!!  Look ..... I was ok with the cape.  I coped!!

I was ...... truly!!!!  I WAS coping!!
BUT ..... then the mask!!  No way!!!  Wouldn't the cape do??????  Anyway Mum wasn't giving up so I did my best. Here's the results.  Which one do you think looks best??
The skeleton??
The witch??
OR ..... the spider??
Oh .... and here's the bloopers.

Look, I've had enough.  I just wanna lie down and pretend this isn't happening, ok????

Crikey ...... Fair dinkum ..... enough's enough!!  I can't see, for goodness sake!!

Let me outta here or I'll use these choppers on someone!!

Pleeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!

I'm with Miss G ........ Naked is BEST!!!!!! And this cape is going where that mask went!!
About time ... but wait .... is that bloke behind me trying to take me off or something?  There's nothing wrong with my ears is there?
Miss G wanted to get in on MY act!!  At least she's NOT naked, aye??  Mum and Miss G's Dad are in the background making sauerkraut. They've NEVER made it before. Mum's missing Germany already and she's just got back. I'll let her show you the sauerkraut when it's all finished, aye??  Takes about a week before it's any good or so they say. If Mum has anything to do with the making of it I doubt that it will EVER taste good.  She's not renowned for her cooking skills.

Wanna run ... Love, Charlie.

  1. Bwahahahaha! Hilarious! (We hate wearing costumes too!) You were a good boy for putting up with all that!

Oh, we have a super easy recipe for that sauerkraut: Put one pork roast or a rack of pork ribs in a crock pot. Add sauerkraut. Set the crock pot on low, and forget about the whole thing for about 6 or 7 hours. That's all there is to it. Schmeckt gut!

    1. Crikey that sure sounds good. Wonder if Mum's got a crock pot big enough for Miss Poppy PooPoo Pants. BUT ..... it was only the sauerkraut Mum and Shane was making. When it's ready then comes the recipe session. Did you make your own sauerkraut????

  2. The indignity of having to wear stuff! We think the cape by itself was sufficient. Actually, in that one photo you look rather vampire-ish. If you're forced (and given enough treats), go with the spider.

SHE buys sauerkraut in the tin...just sayin'.

    1. Crikey .... wish I lived in your house. So sensible to only go with the cape, aye?? You really think that will do??? I do look vampirish don't I?? BUT if they insist AND I get enough treats I s'pose I like the spider best too.
Sauerkraut in a TIN!! Yep there it is again. So sensible. Wish I lived at your house. Our house has been smelling of cabbage for nearly a week now.

If you can keep that expression you have in the top photo you will be ticking all the boxes of bat-ism!!! ...oh the other hand those eyes would look peering out of a Mummy's bandages... don't fret eh mate; it'll soon be gone for the year. 22. Keep the cape, leave the mask. We like the skeleton, but we wouldn't want to wear anything on our heads either. Can't wait to hear how the sauerkraut turns out. Around here it comes in a jar BOL

    1. Yeah .... that's what I'm doing. Those masks are the pits!! Crikey Mum didn't think there would be that much interest in her sauerkraut. She just kinda put that there as a comment. I will post photos of the current lot but maybe she'll have to do another batch and take pictures all the way through the process. It turned out real good and tastes just like in Germany according to Mum. She can't cook to save herself so she's REAL proud of her and Shane's efforts.
