    1. Crikey ..... have we missed a good big orange?? Where's Berri?? I know Berry on the south coast of NSW. That's where I stayed when Mum and Dad were away but there was no big orange there or at least not that I saw. My Mum loves Bundy ginger beer too. She lived in Bundy for 10 years. Well .... Bargara actually but that's just out of Bundy on the coast. She has a real soft spot for Bundaberg.

Strewth that takes me back... I have been at the Big Pineapple, Nana, Prawn, Ned Kelly, but the rest must have been after my time traveling those parts. Gotta say OZ is a bit obsessed with the 'in the Southern Hemisphere' yarn... My fave is the three butts. ...But oh what wouldn't I give for a Bundy right now... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Dad still wells up everytime he thinks of him and it's been quite a few years now. Maggie and Harri!!!!!! Sounds good. Maybe they've joined up at the Bridge.

    1. Crikey Zoe ..... it's a pleasure. After all it was your big potato that prompted Mum to go lookin' for these photos and when she found the big butt one she got all overcome with nostalgia about our Harri and Lucy again. She LOVES that photo. Think it might be getting framed now and put up on our doggy wall.

When your paws were blogged to the bloggers here were you sleeping? I am now, and growlmy says I am snoring...OMD!

Your tootsies look a lot like mine, just make them all white, the dirt has to stay to keep the authentic look.

And I enjoyed all your BIG things!
In Canada growlmy has seen a humongous goose, a gigantic nickel and then there is the bigger than life OM Wiener...

    1. MJF, the bigger than life OM Wiener reminded me of the OM WienerMobile! It slid off an snowy road sumwhere. The reporters wuz havin lotta fun with that.

    3. Ummmmmmmmmm!! Listen you two ..... call me stupid or something BUT what the heck is an OM weiner???????? I googled it but I'm still none the wiser!! Even google hasn't got a clue. AND there's an OM Weinermobile that slides off hills and things. Crikey!!! What is THAT thing?????
Growlmy sings 'we aint got no bananas today'. Fair dinkum?? I'd sure like to hear that??

      Delete
    4. Growlmy thought that all furs would know that by woofing OM Wiener she meant OM WienerMoblile...one and the same...But growlmy who I thought knew evfurrything didn't know that the OM-Mobile had gotten snowed into a ditch.
And...um...that song is a ditty from some old musical show...it just has always stuck in her head!

      Here are the lyrics:

      Yes We Have No Bananas

There's a fruit store on our street
      It's run by a Greek
And he keeps good things to eat, but you should hear him speak!
When you ask him anything, he never answers "no"
He just yes'es you to death, and as he takes your dough, he tells you
      "Yes, we have no bananas
      We have-a no bananas today
      We've string beans, and onions
      Ca-bah-ges, and scallions,
And all sorts of fruit, and say
We have an old fashioned to-mah-to
A Long Island po-tah-to. But yes, we have no bananas
      We have no bananas today!

Business got so good for him that he wrote home today,
"Send me Pete and Nick and Jim! I need help right away!"
When he got them in the store, there was fun, you bet
Someone asked for "sparrow grass*" and then the whole quartet
All answered "Yes, we have no bananas
      We have-a no bananas today
      Just try those co-co-nuts
      Those wall-nuts and doughnuts
There ain't many nuts like they!
We'll sell you two kinds of red herring,
      Dark brown, and ball-bearing
But yes, we have no bananas
      We have no bananas today"

      ("Sparrow grass" = Asparagus)

From the 1922 Broadway Revue "Make it Snappy" by Frank Silver and Irving Cohn. Sung by Eddie Cantor.

If you google the title, you can see/hear it too.
Growlmy mostly only sings(??) the one line, BOL!

    5. Crikey ...... google knows what the OM WeinerMobile is!! SO now I know too. I'd sure like to go for a ride in that giant hotdog.
Thanks for singing the song to me Growlmy. I much appreciate it. Mum laughed out loud when she saw that. She already knew the song but only the chorus part. She was real interested to hear all the other words and where it came from etc. You're right Mr JF Sir ..... Growlmy knows EVERYTHING, aye?? Well ..... almost!! Mum's off to google that title so we can hear the whole song. Oh!! AND my Mum does that with songs too. Just gets one line and sings it over and over again. Ridiculous, aye??

      Delete
    6. Bol! We'd nefur heard the hole song either. Or even thot bout it. Audrey Hepburn sings the "yes, we have no bananas" in Sabrina.

Charlie, the point of the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is not to slide offa hills an things but to spread the good cheer an taste of those OM wieners!

      Bol! Now I'm gettin hongry!
