Crikey ..... Mum and our Jen are in mourning. You'll never guess who started at
BIG school this year. Miss G!!!!! How bad is that?? She's not even 5. Just 4 and a half and the youngest in her class. She's the baby of the family. Mum's baby, Jen's, baby!!! Does that make sense?? She's Jen's baby and Jen is Mum's baby. Now it makes sense, aye?? Miss G is Mum's youngest grandchild. We all expected dramas but ..... would you believe ... Miss G was great. Mum and Jen .... not so much!!! Now, all the little girls are at the same school. That poor school will never be the same again. Miss G was
VERY excited and was up at the crack of dawn and was dressed and ready to go hours before she needed to be. Wanna hear a funny story about that first day?? Of course you do. But first I must tell you that both Jo and Miss Izzi put on dreadful performances on their first day. Jo is good now but Izzi still throws a tantrum from time to time and when Izzi throws a tantrum
EVERYONE knows about it. So ...... we didn't have high hopes for Miss G, but, would you believe, it all started out perfectly. Walked into the school with her sisters like a real big girl. Dropped Jo at her classroom ... no worries. Dropped Izzi at her classroom ... a bit difficult but not too bad. Got to G's classroom where her Mum was allowed to stay until the bell rang. When the bell went the Mum's had been instructed to tell their children it was time for them to say good bye and the children were to sit on the mat. Well Miss G was having none of that. She turned to her Mum and said "ok Mum .... you can go
BUT I'M NOT SITTING ON THAT MAT". All the other kids were sitting like little angels. Hmmmmmph!! You'd think just one of the three would go off like a normal, compliant child, aye??
Not in this family it seems. Our Jen handed Miss G over to the Teacher and the last Jen saw was all the little kids sitting on the mat and Miss G standing, hand in hand, with her Teacher.
Oh dear!!!!!
|
This is at home. All dressed and ready to go. |
|
The three little school girls. |
|
Our Jen has done this on the first day back at school each year. It's funny how they change what they want to be each year. Mum will try and find all the pics from previous years. Miss G. wants to be a teenager. I somehow think she might achieve that one, aye?? |
|
Time to go!! |
|
Yes ..... that's where you're lunch box and water bottle goes. |
|
Got the hat!! Must be sunsafe, aye?? |
|
Goodbye Miss G. See you this arvo!! |
|
Well .... the hat and the smile says it all, aye?? |
Wanna run ..... Charlie.

ReplyDeleteAnd now for more adventures!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
WooooHoooo! OMD, how exciting!!!!! You knows, Ma started school at 4 1/2 too! So, I thinks she is gonna be just FABulous! Just lookie at that smile! AND, I thinks being different and being your own person is just what is gonna make her succeed! (either that, or gets her in a wee bit of trouble like it did Ma....☺)
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
What big smile sure hope she enjoys and learns a lot of cool things.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
your Miss G. is the most fabulous girl of that world... she knows what she wants :o) I wish her a super furst year in school :o) btw: guess what? I have to go to school on thursday... imagine that... think I will act like amy winehouse and I say: NO NO NO!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girls. A memorable day...Miss G may as well have made it worthwhile! :)
ReplyDeleteIf that's the school I think it is, I've driven past it often...in the past!
What a fun day! Petcretary remembers things like that of my unfurbro and Boss-boy.
ReplyDeleteBoss-boy started preschool when he was 2 1/2...unfurbro waited until he was way ovfur three, BOL! Petcretary started kindergarten when she was 4 also...she graduated high school when she was 17...but if there had only been 4 high school years as there are today, she would have only been 16!
She thinks kids should still do 5 years to be more mature and have some more time to learn things needed for life!
Your three gals are off to a great start!
And I love Miss G's individualism:)
Miss G looks so excited and she's so precious! We think she's going to do just fine at school!
ReplyDeleteOh that's so sad - your littlest one growing up ! Now, what are you going to do Charlie? Oh, I know - how's young Herbie coming along? You'll have more time to teach him some of the finer points in life....

ReplyDeleteCRIKEY Charlie... those little peeps are just DARLING in their school jumpers. AND now we are wondering... did it stay ON HER all day long??? We are SURE it did... "BUTT" we gotta say we MISS That Phase in her development... hehehehe
