Blog in a book??

Mum would like to know if any of you blokes out there have made their blog into a book. She knows it can be done and has googled it but she's not very smart and hasn't been game to attempt it.  Is it simple?  Is it VERY simple??  It sure needs to be  for Mum to attempt it. OR .... can you pay someone to do it for you? Remembering we are downunder of course. And is that VERY expensive???  Well I think that's all she asked me to ask you so I'll leave you with a photo of me just because I can. I sure would like a book of MY blog. Mum hasn't even saved it so if Blogger goes bust so does MY blog and I've worked my poor little brain into a frenzy to put it all together. I sure hope someone out there can help.

Wanna run,   Love, Charlie.

  4. We use blog2print.com. Mom prints out a year's worth of blogging at a time. Yup, it is kinda pricey but it's our lives and she wouldn't have it any other way.

  5. Our mom uses blog2print and because her blog gets so wordie she does one every six months. It's really easy. If my mom can do it anyone can. It is pretty expensive so we sometimes have to wait til we can do it. We get the soft

    covers. Not as expensive.

Crikey Charlie...my mom has printed 9 volumes of my Blog on
Blog2Print. Above is a link to one of my post showing 4 of them. We have a post somewhere telling exact details of things we have learned along the way. Blog2Print is super duper user friendly. You can go on the site and look around and actually save things or start over. I'll get mom to look for the post we did with info.
A few hints: we printed all of ours in soft back, black and white,we did not print the comments nor did we have page breaks between each day's post. Each volume usually costs between $25 and $35 USD.
    Hugs madi your bfff

    1. Crikey ..... good to hear from you. You're the expert. Everyone says so. 9 volumes ..... WOW!! Mum's going to give it a go. She's decided if she gets stuck she'll ask one of her girls to do it for her for her birthday. She'll pay for it but they will have to put in the time. Their time is very precious as they have little kids so if they spend time on Mum she will feel very special. She can babysit while they do it too. She loves to babysit.
Thankyou so much for all the info.

  15. We used create space. It is connected to Amazon so you can sell the book through amazon. You would have to copy your bogs into a word file and then upload it on to create space. It does take some time but it does make a nice looking book. .

  21. My Hoomans mights have something to recommend - but furst let me say how absolutely drop-paw-handsome you looks in dat red tie! If your Mum has an imac (apple) computer, she could gets this app called Blurb which is a self-bublishing program which enables you to make your own book which you can order to be printed and it arrives at your door! Its nots tooooo mind-boggling as well. Hope this is helpful.

.... or mum can just go to each page of your blog and print them out at home.. time consuming? Yes. Paper costs and ink costs likely to add up? Yes. Pawsibility of tantrums and blue air when the printer pops its cogs? Yes... that's why those printer places are actually great value in the end!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. Mmmmmm! Mum reckons that's worth thinking about. She's tried blog2print just now and it's not working at all for her. You're right about the printer, paper, ink and the cost but Big W has a service where you can print stuff up very reasonably. Maybe it can be done there. They also do books of a sort so Mums going to check that out. It might be as simple as downloading my blog to a memory stick and going from there. Wishful thinking. aye??

    2. ....no that sounds like a good plan! ...and the Big W folk are usually pretty helpful... good luck with it! Yxx

  26. Hi Charlie. We live in Denmark and have used Blurb. You can't turn your blog to a book directly, but you can write a book and add photos. You can check it out at the right corner in the top of our blog.

  29. I tried to do the blog2print but it told me I couldn't do it for some reason. I never even knew such a thing existed until I read this post! I am thinking I will try the "snip it" tool and create a Word document or pdf that way. Not the same as a book but probably less pricey.
