Did you see?
DID YOU SEE? My Enid said
YES!! She's agreed to go to the heart to heart dance with me. Am I the happiest bloke around or what????????
But now I just wanted to say a big thanks for
ALL the Australia day wishes from
EVERYONE!! I usually answer each one personally but it's getting a bit daunting so I thought I'd do it here this time instead. So ..... thankyou, thankyou, thankyou
ALL for your good wishes. They were very much appreciated. I had a good day. It was raining and cold where we are but I still managed to get to go out to celebrate. I thought you might like to see how the little girls got to celebrate. It wasn't raining at their house and it's
NEVER cold there either. They sent me some photos. I hope you like 'em.
Are you there Macey?????? I think
YOU will really like some of them.
|
Murphs was having a good time, aye??? |
|
She was just happy she wasn't being BBQ'd. We Aussies ALWAYS have LAMB on our BBQ's for Aussie day. |
|
Crikey ..... I feel a bit sorry for her, really!!!! |
|
Crikey .... how good does that look? The little girls Daddy made it. How clever is he?? Eat your heart out, Easy!! Maybe the little girls' Dad could give your Mom lessons, aye?? |
|
Wouldn't you all like to have a go at that?? |
|
Take note: They are ALL dressed!!!!!! Well except for that BIG BLUE BLOKE ... |
My other two legged sister, Megan (the little boys Mum) sent some photos too. Not many and only one of the boys got his picture taken but hey ...... it's better than no pictures at all which is what we usually get. Megan's not too good with the picture taking and sending. As you can see pavlova's were the favoured sweet for the day, aye??
|
Megan's pav. She has quite the vegie garden going at her house and her passionfruit vine is full to overflowing with fruit. So's her pav, aye?? |
|
The little boys preferred these! As you will see in the next pic ... |
|
Megan's youngest, Quinn. Wondere if any of that cake got inside his mouth, aye?? Time for a haircut I think. |

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like 'em!! I wanted to send bacon but I thought that would be too much of a temptation for the immigration blokes.
DeleteWe're so happy Enid said Yes, though we didn't really doubt she would. Aren't you glad you weren't there to be dressed up like Miss PPPP? We had a funny ole day yesterday weatherwise. It was humid, cloudy and we had a storm at night. It's raining here now and supposed to rain tomorrow. But we got in our early morning walk, so we don't care.
ReplyDeleteYou're dead right there, aye?? Better Miss PPPP's than me!! Although Aunty reckons I've gotta get dressed up for the dance. Have i really got to?????

Quinn looks like he needs a westie to help him clean himself up...bol! It looks like a fun time wuz had by all.... Pavlovas are a national specialty down there, I guess... Momma said she's heard of them, but nevfur had one.
ReplyDeletePavlovas are the best Finley. I love 'em!! They're almost as good as roo sticks.

DeleteMaybe... if dey was topped by tangerines... I luvs tangerines!
It looked like you had a perfect day. And the cakes... mom can't get her eyes of of them LOL.
ReplyDeleteThose pavlovas are pretty good, aye, Laika??
DeleteYAY Enid said YES! Can you send that dad over for our Paw-lova day... I'm afraid she could even fail with that magic egg... I mean she failed with a Betty Crocker baking mix... that says a lot, huh? hahaha
ReplyDeleteEasy Rider
Crikey Easy .... I can't wait to see what your Mom does with the magic pavlova egg. Those Betty Crocker cupcakes she made looked like crap to me.
DeleteLooks like a good day was had by all! Happy belated Australia Day!
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
Looks like a fun day! Glad Enid said yes!
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Marley
Good show Charlie! Mom says she would love some lamb on the barbecue. But here it is so expensive! She used to make leg of lamb with mint jelly every Easter, and BBQ lamb chops marinated in State Fair Speidie sauce, and even lamb stir fried with onions, peppers, and jalapenos with oyster sauce. It was heavenly! Beef is getting just as costly.
ReplyDeleteCrikey ...... that lamb stir fry sure sounds good. We can still buy lamb pretty reasonably out here but everything these days is expensive, aye??
DeleteI am wondering what a pavlova is! I'm so glad that Enid said YES!
ReplyDeleteA pavlova is like a big meringue but soft and gooey in the middle and always served with fresh fruit and lots of fresh cream on top. It is the most yummy thing in the whole world.
DeleteWhat a wonderful celebration! And of course Enid said yes, you are a catch mate!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Woot, woot! Hope you had a good day!
ReplyDeleteWow! that looks such a great time :-)
