Sad news!!

Crikey ..... We got some sad news this morning.  A blogging friend of ours passed away yesterday.  We didn't know her for very long but for some reason or other Mum really liked her and so did I.  She lived in a Motor home. I think you call 'em RV's or something. She had 2 greyhounds, Hera and Power and a cat.  She sure loved those animals.  Her name was Hazel. Great name, aye??  You can read all about her HERE.  A good friend of hers, Karen, did this tribute to her. She did it very well. Much better than Mum could. I do hope you will read it. She was a very nice lady.  She had a massive stroke and wasn't found for two days.  Those poor dogs and the cat. Karen answers a lot of the questions Mum had so if you want to know more please use the link.
One thing Mum did want to remind everyone however is, PLEASE, let someone you trust know your blogger password so if something does happen to you they can let all of your friends and fellow bloggers know. It is really important.  Lots of people out there care deeply about you even if you don't know it.  My two legged sister Jenni has our password. You'll sure hear plenty if anything happens to us.
My dear friend, Hazel ...... we will miss her!!!!!!

Wanna run ..... Love Charlie.

    1. Thankyou for heading over to Karen's post and paying your respects. Mum very much appreciates your thoughts. Hazel was a lovely lady. You could just feel it through her blogs.
Like you, Mum and Dad have a password book but if Mum goes first there's no way Dad could do anything. Mum knows 'not much' about computers but all Dad knows is what Mum taught him. Thank goodness for our Jen. She'll take over!! If anything happens to Mum and Dad she'll be saddled with me.

  6. My heart aches tonight for Hera and Power. It really has to be hard on them not knowing what's happened to their Mom. You be sure and let your Mum know you need extra love tonight. I'm giving Scooter and Skittlez lots of hugs and kisses.

    1. Thankyou for stopping by. Mum is really upset about Hazel and, like you, her heart is aching for Power and Hera. The poor things must be so confused and Power is still recovering from his wound. I get lots of love but I'll make sure Mum gives me extra cuddles tonight. Tail wags, and licky kisses to Scooter and Skittlez from me. It's really nice to meet you.

    1. Crikey ..... your Mom sounds just like mine. Apart from immediate family she has but one friend in the world and she lives far away in Holland. At least my Mum has family and they are the BEST. She wants to say that she hopes your Mom considers her a friend. I think they would like each other a lot. If only they could get over their shyness, aye?? Tell your Mom to make sure your Dad knows the password. Just in case, aye??

  16. Hi everyone.. thanks for your kind words about Hazel. I just got an update from the rescue. Dear cat Chica has been adopted and is happily settling in her new home with two sisters and two other kitties. The dogs are both happy and settling in and will get more details from the rescue once their adoptions are final. I hope to get the password to Hazel's blog from her niece when she gets access to the motorhome soon.

    1. Thankyou so much Karen .... I am so thankful for the update. It sounds as if Chica is going to be a very happy kitty cat. Hazel would be so pleased about that. I do hope a home can be found for the dogs and preferably one where they can be together. I think Hazel would like that to happen. I would be very appreciative if you could let me know if and when it happens. Do you know how her niece is coping? So traumatic for her and her family when they were so looking forward to their trip with Hazel. Thankyou so much for keeping me informed.

  34. I was a friend of Hazel's and I can't tell you how much she loved all her Greyhound blogging friends! She was an avid RVer, of course, but when she stated the blog, the best thing about it, she said, were all the people she met around the world who had Greyhounds. She wasn't expecting that, and you were all so important to her. She got good information from some of you, and wonderful virtual friendships with all of you. Thanks for giving Hazel so much happiness.

PS - I have a Deer Chihuahua, and Hazel LOVED her - she wasn't just a Greyhound person. :)

  36. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Oh no, that is very sad! Extra licks and wags to your mum!

Pee Ess I am pretty fast! I can keep up with a whippet! And I have also run with a silken windhound and kept up with him too! I am not sure I could keep up with you though... But I'd sure love to try! I do love chasing!!

  37. Oh no. That's so sad. Thanks for the good advice about the password. I'm not sure that my husband would think of posting on my blog for a while but perhaps I'll plant the notion in his head now.

  38. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! People say I sometimes look like a sight hound, with my skinny nose and the shape of my chest. I'm not sure I'm faster than a whippet, but I can totally keep up with them!! Whippets are pretty good-looking, but not as good-looking as you!
