Dad says Thanks!!

Crikey it's Dad's birthday today and  he wants to say thanks to everyone for all the Happy burday wishes so this is from Dad ...   THANK YOU EVERYBODY , 4 LEGGED AND TWO, FOR THINKING OF ME. I'M HAVING A GREAT DAY!!  I DON'T GET TO CELEBRATE UNTIL SUNDAY WHEN JO AND I CELEBRATE TOGETHER BUT I MIGHT HAVE A QUIET BEER WITH CHARLIE THIS EVENING.
Wow!!  It's Dad's birthday and I get a beer. Doesn't get much better than that, aye?  Bet I only get a drop again. That's all I EVER get. Oh well ... better than nothing.
Crikey Travis you asked on my last post whether or not I got to steal some of Jo's cake. Fair dinkum ..... are you psychic or something?? I nearly got the lot!!  Shame Dad was home or I would have.  When Mum and Jenni finished the cake they set it up on the dining room table and went shopping. Dad was home!! He was in his study doing some office work or something.  I eyed that cake off for a while and then made my move.  I slowly started pulling on the tablecloth until things started falling off the table.  I got pretty close to getting that cake but old BIG EARS heard noises and came a running. Fair dinkum ..... I was so close and that's the truth!!  Imagine if I got it. The looks on Mum and Jenni's faces when they got home would have been priceless. I think it's just as well for me that Dad was home, aye??  If not I would definitely have needed Whitley and Finley  but not to sue anyone. More like to defend me.
Zoe asked if Dad had a cake. He does Zoe. Mum and Jen baked it but the little girls are going to decorate it so Jenni took it home with her. It's a giant chocolate cupcake!!  I can't wait to see what the little girls do to it. I think it might be a bit messy but I'm sure it will taste good and I daresay there will be lots of icing and lollies involved.  Josie's getting a 2 wheeler bike so we are going to the duck ponds in the afternoon. Crikey ...... I hope it doesn't rain but I don't think it will.  We are having fantastic weather at the moment.

This is the cupcake tin they used for Dad's cake.

Getting ready!!

Well gotta go and give Dad some attention. After all it is his seven hundred and seventh birthday or something.  There'll be more pictures after Sunday.

Wanna run .... Love, Charlie.

  2. Crikey .... my Mum reckons that's just what I need. A corrections officer!!!! And you've got one for an Aunty. No wonder you're so well behaved, aye??? It was so close ..... The cake was right at the edge of the table .... I nearly got it. Did Dad ever yell. Scared me half to death. Just as well he did I s'pose. It took Mum and Jenni a lot of time to do that cake. It'll be good to see what the little girls do with the giant cupcake. Should be interesting, aye??

    1. Crikey Zoe .... I didn't TRY to pull on it. Like I didn't get it between my teeth or anything. It just kinda happened when I put my front legs up on the table to have a look so I kept doing it until it got closer and closer. Mum reckons I'm not smart enough to work out how to do it .... well I am, Mum.I could have jumped right up on that table in one go if I wanted but I've been in trouble for just that too many times to do THAT again. See I'm such a good, really!!
I'm not going to be around for the Dad cake decorating. That Murphy Mooballs is going to have all the fun there!!
