Crikey ..... how lucky was this little koala bloke!!

Crikey I don't know if Mum nailed this or not but she heard about this  on the wireless yesterday and wanted to share it with you. As you all know she's not very talented in the computer handling department but just sometimes she comes good. Hope this is one of those times, aye?

Koala travels 88km on car grille

He's sure found a good place to get over his ordeal. Bindie and Bob will look after him.  Damn shame their Dad's not there to help 'em, aye??
It is going to be the most beautiful day here in Noosa today. It's mid winter!! Who'd know. I went to the beach this morning and it was as perfect as it gets and on Sunday we went to one of my favourite beaches and everyone was swimming and having the best time. It's supposed to be 25C today. Crikey that's warm for winter ..... even for here!!

Last Sunday! ... It was low tide so lots of beach to run on and I did!!

At the beach this morning. Mum and I walked for miles and we had the place almost to ourselves. Crikey it was pretty!!

Wanna run .... Love, Charlie.

  1. That IS one very LUCKY Bloke... Crikey Charley... do you suppose they will try to take him Home when he recovers? We have heard from our other Aussie Furends that Koalas have a very small territory and really should NOT leave it.

You are truly having PAWfect Weather... it is COLD here today... well, Cold fur our summer... so we guess our weather is sort of MIXED UP... NO SWIMMING in OUR neck of the Woods right now... You would have goose bumps if you tried. .

  2. We guess we were NOT thinking when we typed that... beclaws it DOES say return to the EXACT spot where it all happened...
Our mom TOUCHED a ROO once... at a small zoo... It was SOOOOOO soft... She has always wondered what a Koala would feel like.

    1. A koala is even softer than a roo Frankie and Ernie. They are VERY cuddly!!!! Not the smartest fish in the sea though. They just sit around and get high on Eucalyptus leaves all day. They only hit the ground to change trees or look for a mate and when they do they get into all sorts of trouble. Hit by cars, chased by dogs, cats, bad zombiez etc. Mum understands when I chase critters but if I ever chased and harmed a koala I think she'd kill me. Just as well I'm not out at night, aye??

  3. Don't know how our morning shows missed that story...they usually have unusual good news stuff like that! Poor fellow. Guess the wind pressure had him pressed up on the grill like that. On-coming traffic must have thought it was one of those teddies, or dolls that truckies put on their rigs.

Love your beach..we'd be digging and running and rolling. It's supposed to get to 21° today....but cold again on the weekend. Enjoy that great weather.

    Thanks for the story, too.

21C good for Dubbo. Enjoy it while it's there. A trip to the river would be good. Never know what Dui will come up with there, aye? That pizza find sure looked good.

  7. Thanks for dropping by to say hello. We see you are Dogster refugees. We just interviewed two refugees from Catster for Mousebreath last Friday. We tried both but never could figure them out, so we stuck to blogging. Glad you like it.

The poor koala. But fortunate to be getting care and to be alive.

We love the blogging world, too, but we sure do have lots to learn. Dogster/Catster seems to be in a state of flux right now...so we sure are happy that we discovered the world of Blogville!

  9. Sometimes wildlife just wants to go for a car ride...can you blame them?!
We had a local coyote get on the commuter train and ride for a couple of stops. I say, why walk, when you can ride? Hee hee.
Glad you are enjoying the lovely weather and the beach!

We used to love watching that show too.

When growlmy was seven she got to cuddle a lifesized koala...but it was only a stuffie, BOL! It was real looking, though.

What an expansive beach you got there! No wonder you are so good at running, its made fur that!

    2. Yes, in zoos, but growlmy's chance was at an auntie who had an almost real looking one.

  14. Oh yes, crikey, Charlie, that beach is pretty. (And you've got me talking the lingo, somehow it seems appropriate). We have been experiencing 25ºC temperatures in Aberdeen this week, which is almost unheard of warmth for this neck of the woods!

Plus, as we say here, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute! Have fun on the beach! Oh, we're glad the koala is OK.
