Herbie came to stay!!!

Crikey .... who knew puppies were so much work!!  Herbie came to stay for 2 days and ... fair dinkum ... am I EVER over him.  He's still here.  I can't wait to get rid of him.  He's asleep right now. It'd be alright if he did a bit more of that but  no ..... most of the time he's awake and he expects ME to play with him.   ME!!!!!   Doesn't he know I didn't have any brothers or sisters EVER!!!  I was the only pup in my litter.  I have no idea how to play with puppies.  Big dogs ... YES ..... but PUPPIES ..... no way.  He even expects me to sleep with him and he follows me round like a bad smell.  HE EATS MY FOOD.!!!!!!   Crikey I wish he'd go home.  He's got NO manners at all.  He's been sick since we got him.  His poos were real runny and had BLOOD in them and he was real lethargic.  The Vet said he had giardia and was full of worms but he's well and truly over that now.  More's the shame really. He was great when he was sick. Just slept all the time.  Not any more. Mum and Jen aren't too happy with the breeder but that's another story. Thought I'd show you some pics of our 2 days together so you could see how perfect I am and how imperfect he is.  I wouldn't be so perfect if I thought he was going to be here much longer.  I've just about had a nervous breakdown.  Mum reckons she's never seen me with such a long face before.  Well ..... it's no wonder ..... I'M OVER HIM!!!!!
Full of energy, aye??
They think he's cute!
I go outside for a snooze. He follows me!!
This is MY BED!!
Look at him trying to smooch up to me!!
We even had to take him to MY beach!!
This is MY beach!!!  Hmmmmmmmph .... he would have to come, aye??
You'll have to guess who was on the other end of this. Mum's a bit slow with the camera.  It was HIM!!
This was 10 o'clock at NIGHT. I wanted to sleep. He wanted to party.  He bit my tail and I didn't even growl. Am I perfect or what?
Finally he went to sleep but why so close ..... there's heaps of room.
Look a heart shaped poo.  Is that cute or what??  Or what I say!!  Mum and Jen were obsessed with poo photos. This was his first one without blood in it. He'd been on antibiotics for 5 days.  What a whopper for such a little puppy, aye??

Wanna run .... love, Charlie.

  1. Charlie, my love, you are just too funny. But I know I wouldn't like a new puppy either - heart shaped poo or not. At least you know he'll be going home before too long. So hang in there.

  2. Charlie, he looks at you with such adoring eyes and he even sleeps at your feet, well on them actually. I would be very unhappy with the dog breeder. That was bad, but Herbie is ok now.

  3. Oh Charlie, we are sorry, but we had to laugh at your stories about the little chap ! Don't be too hard on him, he's only a baby and still getting used to his new home. If he cuddles up to you and follows you a round, no matter how much your humans cuddle him and love him, he is probably lonely for canine company. It's up to you to show him how a mature (and good looking) fella behaves.
Glad that he's feeling better now. He is a little cutie, and the photos of the two of you are lovely.

  4. Oh Charlie, I totally sympathise. Not only do these little pups run riot but they are allowed to get away with it 'cos everyone else thinks they are "so cute". No wonder you are on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I mean, a chap reaches an age when he really shouldn't have to share a bed if he doesn't want too. And as for all that runny poo...

  5. Well, we're glad he's feeling better. We know what pups are like. They expect EVERYONE and EVERYDOG to think they're cute and can do whatever they want!

  6. We just love your honesty, Charlie! Puppies can be a pain - a REAL pain, right, Mackie. But Herbie likes you and wants to be with you and he's so adorable!

  8. Puppies are like grand children, nice to see then and nice for them to go. I think you handled the situation pretty good.

Crikey Charlie mate... I think that the pup sees you as an elder to look up to is pawhaps not such a bad thing and maybe as the days go on you will find that you can take over the training a wee bit; showing him the ropes as it were...

As for that yuckies which came with him - I too would be VERY unhappy with the breeder and I would be checking out what can be done about it. That is the sort of thing one might find from one of those backyard types or (horrors) a 'mill'... gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... but at least Herbie lucked out and came to stay at the very place where he will thrive. Go on Charlie, give the lad a go... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  15. That heart poop must have been Herbie's way of saying I love you for making me feel better. Be patient, Charlie, we bet soon you and Herbie will have so much fun together. He just has to learn his place with the big dog:)

  16. Oh Charlie! You are such a funny guy! Come on over to my house for a while and we can play in the snow, and there's plenty of soft sleepy places inside. I'd welcome the company because I still miss my good buddy Joey dog.

  17. Charlie, you must learn this little doggy to run really fast, then he gets tired quickly and you can be in peace while he is a sleep.

  18. BOL Charlie! Boy can you make me laugh with your tales (or tails) of woe. You obviously have been perfect; no puppy can be perfect because they are puppies. Maybe he will learn from you...and then maybe, just maybe he will give you some space too!

  19. So Matey Charlie...First off I can see why your Mum and Jen are not happy with the breeder. Geez little guy like him cannot put up much of a fight against that nasty bacteria.
Just to be clear and sure that I understand....
Herbie is a major pain in your rump and such a little stinker getting in your face eating your food and such.]BUT you gotta love a pup who poops hearts! Well matey I must admit to moling and mom loling.
    Hugs Madi your bfff

  25. Dear Charlie,

That's very nice of you to share your bed! And that poop looks divine! But I agree, puppies are very annoying. Good luck with your visitor!

  26. I am glad I let the behaviorists at the shelter know that in no circumstances am I going to let another doggy in here be it a puppy or a growed up pup...I hump emm all, BOL!! They said that was my signal of my thoughts, cause I want to domineer them and be the boss ovfur them. Oops. You have much better manners, despite all the pestering of your Spoodle cousin Herbie. Glad he is feeling better though. Is he back with his own furmily now? Wait till he sees the other critters there...he'll have a cow!! OMD!!
