Sorry .......... there's a LOT of pictures!!
The start. |
I've got it sussed Mum ...... it's this way!! |
C'mon!! |
Crikey ..... how far is this??? |
Pretty nice spot, aye?? |
Wouldn't you like to own that house?? Mum would. It's a dairy farm and just 2 hours from Sydney. |
C'mon Mum .... stop daydreamin'!! You could NEVER afford it!! |
Looks like heather on the hills, aye?? That's the view that farm house has. |
Get that camera straight, woman!! |
Crikey ..... what's this?? |
You got it ..... NOTHING!! |
Crikey ..... is that Dad?? Sure hopes he's got water with him!! |
Nearly there!! |
See .... told you I could have died!! |
Arr!! Flat ground at last. A quick rest on the beach and back to the car. |
Wanna run ...... Love, Charlie.
Oh my gosh! Your world is sooo green and beautiful. And with all that heather I think it must smell good too! Your ocean views are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat is a long ways to hike,, and I think I would like to be spoiled a little bit too!
Your sand looks sooo soft!
love
tweedles
Crikey Tweedles .... isn't ALL sand soft. It wasn't really heather, Tweedles. It was Paterson's curse. It's VERY invasive but it doesn't smell. Heather is much nicer. It was a very nice walk though.
Delete3 and a half miles? We's old and we duz dat-- well almost dat.... and we usta do more when we wuz young. Course yer Momma should bring along some water and a bowl fer ya...ours duz. And 84 isn't hot, not really... not Texas hot, anyway...bol!
ReplyDeleteCrikey Finley ...... it was just a mild day for you Texans, aye?? It was just a mild day for us too. It's much hotter at home but some people thought it was hot. In her younger days Mum would have run the whole way. She used to be very fit and did lots of running. I think that's what wore her out. She just walks now.
DeleteOk, I looked up what 29C wuz. Dat's only 84. Dat ain't hot. Maybe it's "Bawston hot." Here, dat's February or March. 94 is warm, maybe like April or May. 104 is gettin there, pretty normal for July or August. 114 is hot. Dat's bout 45C.
ReplyDeleteCrikey ...... 114 sure IS hot!!!!! It doesn't get that hot where we live but we do have very high humidity so sometimes it feels like 114. I think your heat is dry heat, aye????? We rarely go above about 102F. Mum reckons she'd die at 114.
DeleteBoy Charlie you are lucky you didn't croak mate..no water yikes! what a gorgeous walk though...the weather is nuts isn't it..i was out gardening before at 5 pm dark clouds ..thunder 30 something degrees and dripping sweat..my eyes sting! and what did we get..sunshower...lovely..urghhh but all that green mate is awesome..all we have is brown..loves Fozziemum xx
ReplyDeleteIt's really beautiful here Bev. They have had heaps of rain so the green fields were a sight to behold. Mum knows what you mean about the dripping sweat and the stinging eyes. She was pretty sweaty after that walk. As soon as we got back she was in the shower. You need rain badly, aye?? Hope you get some soon.
DeleteBet you'd carry water for me!! What's wrong with my Mum?
Growlmy carries a water bottle fur pups on her belt when we walk on hotter days.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures!
I walk 2 miles when I am on my stroll route.
Crikey Mr JF Sir ..... how lucky are you?? Growlmy is so good to you. My Mum reckons I'm a wuss and should be able to walk 6k without a drink. Animal cruelty if you ask me. 2 miles is a good walk, aye??
DeleteOh Charlie, poor you. No water. These humans can be very forgetful can't they? Thank goodness there is rarely any shortage of streams, puddles and ponds on walks in Scotland. If I had to rely on Gail for my supply I probably be dead for dehydration by now.
ReplyDeleteOh but that scenery is so gorgeous.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Crikey Bertie ..... what I wouldn't have given for a stream, puddle or pond, aye?? There was not a drop of anything except sea water and you sure don't want to be drinking that. I've tried it and it just makes you more thirsty.
DeleteHi Charlie
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great if not very tiring walk :) There was some lovely scenery along the walk. Milo & Jet
It was VERY pretty Milo and Jet.
DeleteHaven't been to Kiama in YEARS! Does the blowhole still blow?
ReplyDeleteYou should visit again. It's really pretty and YES the blowhole still blows. We were there for a week while Dad did some work and we waited for a day when the seas were up before going to check it out and it sure was working.
DeleteBless your dad for taking care of you, Charlie! What a beautiful hike!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Yeah Mitch and Molly ......if it weren't for my Dad I mightn't have made it, aye??
DeleteOh dear you see we keep saying you just can't get good staff these days. Looks a lovely place. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You're right Molly ...... my staff's hopeless. Although Dad's pretty good. He looks out for me.
Deletenow that is one gorgeous walk - we would be doing that every day if we lived there - but we would definitely have Mom bring the water
ReplyDeleteThat's EXACTLY what Mum said. Well except for the water thing. She would like to do that walk every day and she would like to live in THAT house.
DeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteCrikey Charlie mate, you have walked in my footsteps!!! Yes, the YAMster, too, has followed that trail (well most of it anyhoo). As the sign says Kiama, I gather you are down Sydney-side once more....... you're nearly as gadabout as myself!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We're ALWAYS on the move Aunty ..... Sometimes I forget where home is. Have we really walked in your footsteps??? Crikey .... how good is that. It's a GREAT walk, aye?? Such a beautiful part of Australia and so close to Sydney.
DeleteThat was some exciting walkies you had there Charlie (well done Dad on the water front) wasn't it lush and green, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLoves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
It was just like England, aye, Princess!!!! Mum reckons it's like the lakes district.
Deletewow what a long walk! I would like to live in that house too. We had such an "Im sooooo thirsty" day once too... and my dad brought water to me... but he forgot my bowl...sigh...
ReplyDeleteeasy rider
Crikey Easy ...... he brought water but forgot your bowl?????? That sounds like something my Mum would do too. IF SHE BROUGHT WATER!! BUT she didn't. It was a nice house wasn't it? I'd sure like to live there.
DeleteNo Water and No Shade on that LONG WALKIE??? What was your mum thinking??? You should get DOUBLE Treats fur THAT ONE...
ReplyDeleteBUTT you gotta admit... that was a beautiful walk.
I should've got ICECREAM, aye?? BUT I didn't and yes ....... I do gotta admit it WAS a beautiful walk.
DeleteCharlie, the views along the walk are very beautiful, but I am very glad that you were able to survive that tortuous walk!
ReplyDeleteMe too Hazel ..... it was a close call, believe me. Another few yards and I might've croaked, aye??
DeleteWow Charlie. We sure are glad your dad brought you some water. I say you have to have a backpack, then you can carry your own water :)
ReplyDeleteCrikey Laika ..... what a good idea!! Why didn't I think of that??
DeleteWhat a lovely walk you had, Charlie!!! If you had gotten to that dairy farm, maybe you could have found a tasty drink:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
I did eye those cows off but I wasn't allowed to let Mum go. She had to stay on that leash.
DeleteOHMYPUG we can onlys walk like 1/4th of a mile cos of our short legs and no snouts, we are sure glad your dad remembered to bring you water, our dad would have brought us sweet tea or beer....duh.......great pictures ...beautiful...it is not green here yet. or warm.
ReplyDeletestella rose
Crikey Stella Rose ...... Beer would've been much better than nothing!!!!! Hope it turns green for you real soon.
DeleteWhat a beautiful walk Charlie!!! Maybe next time your mum will be better prepared!
ReplyDeletehugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
No ....... she won't ..... I know ..... she's never prepared!! Just walks out the door and off she goes. Dad on the other hand is ALWAYS prepared. It does take him forever to go anywhere though.
DeleteWe can't believe how you stared into the face of death like that! Thank dogness you survived! That was a close call!!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
It was close alright!! I very nearly didn't make it.
DeleteHOLY COW PATTIES!!!! I thinks you would have found my Ma flat on her back whining for margaritas!!! BOL!!! I sure am glads you escaped death!! Next time tell your Moms to pack the kitchen..just in case ☺
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Crikey Ruby ..... what I would've given for one of your margaritas!!!!!! It was a near thing Ruby but I survived, aye?? Even if Mum packed the kitchen Ruby .... she wouldn't have been able to find it. She's hopeless.
DeleteWhat a great walkie....so much to see and enjoy....Oh barharhar no water for Mum........now it's of for a nappie poo and some pleasant dreams!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
It WAS a great walk, aye?? BUT it would've been better with water!!!!!
DeleteOh, Charlie, you have such a beautiful place to roam around! We love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteCrikey Buddy ...... I love your pictures and now you love my pictures. How funny is that?? Your pictures sure are different from mine, aye??
DeleteDear Charlie,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful green grass, running, and a Beach - does it get any better than that???
Licks,
Cobi
I guess it doesn't. It's a pretty nice place to be, aye??
DeleteThat sure was a beautiful walk even if your mom didn't bring proper hydration for you.
ReplyDeleteShe's VERY slack, aye??
DeleteNo water???? I always have to carry water for Blueberry on our longer hikes and always in the summer, even if it is a short hike, otherwise, she flops down and won't move. Hehehehe
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good workout together and at the end, you were properly refreshed.
Crikey ....... I'm going to try that next time. Mum'd probably just drag me along the ground by my neck though. She's pretty brutal!!
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous spot for a walk and it looks like you had it all to yourself. I thought the USA was the only place that put up such detailed warning signs!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't even dangerous. Too ridiculous for words my Mum said!! We saw one jogger but other than that we had it all to ourselves. Just the way Mum likes it.
DeleteBOL at least you got a good walk in with beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
I sure did Sully so I guess I shouldn't complain, aye??
DeleteKiama a wonderful part of the world, spent many a holiday on the south coast as a kid.
ReplyDeleteMerle.............
It sure is a nice place, aye, Merle?? Mum spent lots of time there when she was young too. Did you go to East's beach? That's where my Mum used to go. All of the south coast is great.

Madi your bfff
Yeah Madi ...... thank goodness for Dad, aye??
DeleteSo beautiful my friend! All that green and beach and beauty. We would have fun together running through to find your dad. Thank goodness he had some yummy water for you. :) XOXO - Bacon
ReplyDeleteCrikey Bacon ...... if you're anything like Miss PoppyPooPoo Pants you would have preferred it if there were a mud puddle or two to romp in. There's nothing she loves more on a hot day than a swim in the paddle pool with the girls.
DeleteWhat fun!! That 14th pic would be great for our sniffin post. Can we include it?
ReplyDeleteWags
Oreo
Of course you can use it Oreo. It WOULD make a great sniffin post or even a great pee post, aye? AND a great watering hole for Madi too! I didn't notice the post until you pointed it out. If I had I would have peed on it for sure.
DeleteThanks for sharing your pawsome journey! SO different from where I live. Ya gotta talk these walks when you are young, Charlie. Lady and I used to take very long walks in China, but now I am old-er, and I prefer the shade.
