Christmas is coming!! (sorry there's a LOT of pictures).

Christmas is coming but first we have a few birthdays to take care of.  It's Miss Izzi's No. 4 birthday and Mum's Mum's No. 96 birthday ...  just 2 days apart. You'd have thought Miss Izzi could have waited two more days to be born, aye??  I've been adding a whole year on to Old Nan (that's what we call Mum's Mum) for a whole year now and believe me at that age you don't want to be adding years on so I'm rectifying it now. She will be 96 this year.  All the little girls are coming to our house for Miss Izzi's day.  Bet you can't wait to see those pictures, aye??  I'm sure they will be entertaining.

Are we beautiful or what??
Goodness only knows how we will survive. I'm betting it will be a very messy day with lots of cleaning when they leave. Mum and Jen made the cake the other day. Miss Izzi wants a Frozen (you know ..... the movie!!) theme for her day so the cake is a frozen one. Mmmmmmm!!  Well ..... it's not frozen ..... its just a cake with a 'Frozen the movie' theme.  It looks pretty good to me but I'm not an expert on how cakes look. I am, however an expert on how a cake tastes!!  I'll tell you about that after the big day.

do you think Miss Izzi will like it??
Our house is a bit confused at the moment. We have Frozen birthday decorations floating around interspersed with Christmas decorations.

Getting ready!

Even poor Boris isn't safe from the dreaded Santa hat!!
Old Nan is in Sydney so we won't be seeing her on her day. They are having a bit of a do for her at the nursing home.  I sure hope she has a good day.  We saw her heaps of times when we were down there. I was a real big hit with all the old ladies.  They have made me an honorary member of the nursing home.  They reckon I'm the best behaved visitor they have EVER had. Mum always puts one of my fancy collars and leads on me and I must say I always look very dashing when I visit. I LOVE going there!!  Crikey I hope Old Nan has a good birthday.
We are having Christmas day at the little girls house this year. They are really getting into the Christmas spirit and their house is looking VERY festive. They have that scary elf visiting for the month and she is getting up to all sorts of mischief and Miss PoppyPooPooPants and Murphy are getting into the mood too. Miss PPP's has no idea about Christmas. She thinks turkey's are the order of the day for the Christmas feast.  As I said ...... she's got NO IDEA, aye??

THAT elf decorated the tree with the girls undies!!  How bad is that??

AND she put eyes on the fruit!!

For once I feel a bit sorry for Miss PPP's.

Whattya reckon Macey ...... Pretty sad, aye??

She's saying 'don't even think it!!!'

'It's turkey for us for Christmas day.' Little does SHE know!!

Crikey ...... Murphs copped it too. He doesn't look too impressed, aye??

Crikey Murphs .... stop posing mate ..... there's some fun happening behind you!!

Just some more beautiful!!

AND MORE beautiful!  Mum wants this framed for her Christmas pressie!!
Things have been a bit hectic around here  so I've been a bit quiet lately. I have so much news but I will get round to it soon. I have been very honoured to be made Blogville's Australian Detective and Dui has been assigned as my Junior Officer. What a team we are going to make, aye??  Hey Dui ..... I'll be in touch real soon, mate. I am on it ..... the Secretary's just being a bit slack and the internet thingie has been in a bit of a state too. In the mean time if anyone in Australia needs any help in any way just let us know and we'll get workin'. We are here to serve, aye??

Wanna run ....... Love, Charlie!!

    2. That elf thing is REAL scary Finley. If Whitley was here she'd think it was an elf zombie and bark it good, aye?? I'm with you. If I get hold of it I'll be giving it the ole shake-shake until it's as deaded as dead.
Miss PPP is not getting bigger as such ..... just fatter!! I've been slippin' her extra food so she'll be just right for Christmas. She's a real PIG. She'll eat anything. She loves the girls coloured pencils. Drop one of those on the floor and goodbye pencil. You wouldn't get me eatin' one of those. You'd get splinters when they were on their way out, aye??

  4. Yes, we agree Charlie, you gotta feel a wee bit sorry for Miss PPP…
But gosh, I am glad we don't have any pretty little blonde girls in my family. I'm not sure I could stand the competition in the beauty stakes.

    1. Bertie ..... if you walked into our house you'd have no competition mate. There could be a whole horde of pretty little blonde girls and my Mum would have eyes for no-one but you. I wouldn't do it if I were you though unless you like being smothered with kisses and the hugs from hell. It's suffocating ..... I know from experience.

CooooEEEeee!!! Nice to see you are keeping everything in order down there Charlie mate!!! I agree with Finley, I think PPP is getting a bit big for the 'pants'... and aren't those three just like princesses in their gorgeous dresses???

It is a busy time of year and your help can be excused for a couple of weeks at least - go easy on her Charlie. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

It's the big party day today. Mum been at it since 4am and is all ready for everyone to arrive. She's just grabbed a quick cuppa and is having a sit down before the onslaught.

  11. Hi Charlie! What a lot you had to cover! Sounds like exciting times at your house. What about that shelf elf thing? He keeps showing up everywhere. I think I'd like to take a crack at him! (His head looks quite chewable if you know what I mean … hehehe.) The girlies look so elegant in their matching dresses. Over here in Western NY it's cold and wet. Right now it looks like the drizzle is changing over to snow. Mom wishes she could move to Australia and have Christmas in summer like you and your family! Happy birthday to Izzy and Nan!

    1. Well ..... it might sound good to have a sunny Christmas but it also makes things a bit uncomfortable. Trying to shop and cook and run around like a chook with its head cut off in temperatures in the high 30C's can be very trying too but I think it is better than slowly freezing to death, aye?? Mum wants to experience your Christmas and your Mom wants to experience ours. Peeps!!!!!!!!! They're never happy with what they've got, aye??

Our Jen did the page, Zaidie ....... Mum couldn't do it in a month of Sundays. If she tried she'd lose all my photos or something!! Hmmmmmmm ...... I think I heard that someone did that once.

  22. Wowee! I am so furry late getting here...but hey, it was a ton of fun reading all about the doings and all the fun comments, too.

    Happy Birthday to Nan!

    Happy Birthday to Izzy!!

    Happy fun fur all!!

Well, maybe not the decorating the furry ones stuff, BOL!
Only I think its OK to have Boris wear a hat. Growlmy always puts a hat & Scarf on Angus, a Scottie that lives on top of the organ beside our cuckoo clock, presumably to guard it from the cat, BOL!

Growlmy had a huge giggle fit at the tree with undies all over it, pawppy had to ask her what on earth was so funny!

Growlmy needs to get with the program here, though...did she get cards done? Nope!
    Decorating? Nope!
    Presents wrapped? Nope!
    She mowed the lawn...OMD!
The day was sunny, dry and about 7C...so she did what needed urgent attention, huh??

    Well...

Hope that cake was yummy, Miss PPP didn't snatch it, and I hope the pawrty was a huge success!
That beach pic of your wee gals is evfur so precious! (Wow, the wee-est one left her dress on?!, BOL!)

Sheesh, I am woofy tonight...bye now!

    1. Crikey Mr JF Sir ...... You've almost got as much to say as me. It's a very busy time, aye?? Tell Growlmy not to worry ..... my Mum hasn't got the Christmas cards done either. She has done a little bit of decorating but not much because it clashed with the birthday colours and she definitely hasn't wrapped the Christmas presents yet. As for mowing the lawn ........ no time for that!! So see, Growlmy's in front of my Mum.
7C ...... crikey ...... that's cold, aye?? It was about 30C here today and 99 percent humidity. Talk about muggy!! It's like living in a steam bath at present. We need rain sooooooooooo bad.
The party was great!! Everyone had a real good time (Miss PPP's didn't come) and the cake was scrummy!! I got heaps.
That beach picture is lovely, aye?? Miss G must be growing up. I haven't seen her without her clothes for a while now. She LOVES dressing up and wants to choose her own outfits. Sometimes she wears two or three dresses at the one time and her shoes are usually on the wrong feet. Too funny!!
