More Harri's travels!!

Crikey .... I don't want to bore you again but Mum loves seeing the pics of your part of the world so thinks you like seeing our part of the world.   I've gotta leave it up to Harri to continue ... Yaaawwwn!

On the way to Chambers pillar camp site. Dad had to collect the firewood. It was hot but it gets AWFUL cold at night.
Not AWFUL cold like you blokes know but AWFUL cold for us.
This was taken quite a few years ago now. Dad wouldn't be able to get up on the roof of the car like that now!! The scenery hasn't changed though .... still lots of nothing .... yaaaawwwwnnnnn!!
Chambers pillar .... looks a bit like your country Puffy and Coco Rose.

Now kidd'n that's not boring!!   Yaaawwwwwnnnnn!!!
It's called Sturt's stony desert. Wonder why?????

Harri at Broken Hill NSW. The desert after rain. The red wildflower is Sturt's desert pea.
Get a load of Harri in his boots. He didn't mind wearing them. What sort of freak was he???? Outback Australia has burrs .... BIG burrs. Harri would rather wear the boots than suffer the burrs. Me ... I suffer the burrs. No boots for me!!
This was a giant red sand hill. It just popped up out of nowhere but then there was heaps of them. This being the first they had to climb it. It doesn't look all that big in the picture but apparently it was quite high.
Hmmmmmphh!!  Now that's a red schnooter!!
This was still desert country but for once in a zillion years they had lots of rain.
Crikey ... thank goodness .... a beach! Next travelogue will be the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. No more deserts ... Yaaaaaaayyyy!!!! Ocean, give me ocean!!

Wanna run ... Love, Charlie!!

    1. Crikey Finley ... Thanks for the info .... Bluebonnets, aye? VERY pretty. Mum would love to see some more of your wildflowers. She LOVES them. She takes zillions of pics of them when we are away. Dad has to be VERY patient with her. Yours have great names ... Mum's never heard of them except for the primrose one.

    1. Crikey Zoe ... I dunno too much about the critters out there. Lots and lots of birds ... very beautiful ones too ... lots of parrots, black cockatoos, white cockatoos, galahs. HUGE flocks of budgies and cockatiels. Very pretty to see but almost impossible to photograph. Mum's tried but she's not good enough at it. Snakes ... YES ... lots and VERY deadly. We have some of the most deadly snakes in the world here but they are ok. They leave you alone if you leave them alone. Problem is I don't like leaving them alone. They move ... I chase them. Some dogs can catch them and not get bitten JRT's are very good at it. Mr. JackFreckles, Sir would be excellent. He would give those snakes hurry up. There's lizards too .... or goannas as we call them. they are HUGE. There's roos, and lots of emus ... oh and camels and dingoes. Dingoes are beautiful! Oh and there's BUGS ... lots of BUGS!!! Flies by the zillion, trillion!!!!! Keeps a lot of people out of the desert. Good says Mum ... she doesn't like crowds. Scorpions ... YUK! Lots of farming too. In the desert country it's mainly cattle properties and they are Gigantic. Thousand, and thousands of acres. Closer to the coast and more fertile areas it's mainly sheep and wheat but there are also lots of different grains being grown these days. Struth ... Zoe ... all the questions .... I'll have to write another post just to answer them. That was a short version just for you cause I LIKE YOU and you are NOT full of it. Well ... sometimes, maybe!!!!

    1. Crikey Buddy ... poor Daddy! Did he get around Sydney naked? I would have like to see that!! Did he like Sydney? I LOVE Sydney for a short while. It's very pretty and there's lots to do but I ALWAYS like being home at Noosa best. Maybe you could come and live at my house for a while and I could live at your house cause my Mum wants to see your country just like your Mum wants to see mine. It's a VERY big plane trip.
